All other information is optional and can only be provided by Parents/Guardians through their accounts. Examples include the child’s age, interests, or preferences for educational content. These optional details are designed to enhance functionality but are not mandatory.

How Children Use LaunchFamily

Children interact with our Services through accounts set up and managed by Parents/Guardians. These accounts are designed with safety and limited functionality in mind, including:

• Viewing and participating in shared family activities.

• Using milestone trackers, chore management tools, or educational features.

• Adding preferences or interests under parental oversight.

Restricted Features: Children cannot make purchases, upload photos, or share information beyond the family circle.

Data Use and Sharing

We use children’s information only for the purpose of delivering and improving our Services.

• Internal Use: Information is used to personalize features such as milestone trackers and educational recommendations.

• No Marketing: Children will not receive marketing emails, advertisements, or promotional materials.

• Limited Sharing: Information is not shared with third parties, except with service providers necessary to operate our platform (e.g., cloud storage providers). All third-party vendors are required to comply with COPPA and our data privacy standards.

Parental Rights and Controls

Parents/Guardians have the following rights and controls over their child’s data:

1. Access and Update: View and update their child’s information through the parent account.

2. Withdraw Consent: Request the deletion of their child’s account and all associated data by contacting us at support@launchfamily.com.

3. Control Permissions: Manage app settings, such as notifications and access to specific features.

If consent is withdrawn, the child’s account will be deactivated, and their information permanently deleted, except where required for legal compliance.

Video and Online Interactions

Some features may include video, audio, or chat interactions within the family group or with approved participants.

• Recordings: Recorded interactions are securely stored for up to 30 days, unless otherwise requested by Parents/Guardians or required for legal obligations.

• Parental Rights: Parents/Guardians can:

  • Request access to recordings.

  • Delete specific recordings.

  • Opt out of recording features entirely.

• Security: All recordings are encrypted and stored securely to protect privacy.

Third-Party Links and Tools

Our Services may include links to third-party tools or services. While we ensure that any integrated third-party tools comply with COPPA, we encourage Parents/Guardians to review the privacy policies of external platforms before use. LaunchFamily is not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party sites.

Data Security Measures

We implement robust security measures to protect the personal information of children, including:

• Encryption: All data is encrypted during transmission and storage.

• Access Control: Only authorized personnel with a legitimate need can access sensitive data.

• Regular Audits: We conduct periodic security reviews to identify and address potential risks.

Data Retention and Deletion

We retain children’s data only for as long as necessary to provide our Services or comply with legal requirements.

• Deletion Requests: Parents/Guardians can request the deletion of their child’s data by contacting us at support@launchfamily.com.

• Backup Systems: While we strive to delete data promptly, deletion from backup systems may take up to 30 days. During this period, backups remain encrypted and are not used for operational purposes.
