Terms of Service

This Terms of Service Agreement (“Terms”) is a legal agreement between you (“User”, “you”, or “your”) and LaunchFamily Inc. (“LaunchFamily”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) governing your access to and use of the LaunchFamily website, mobile app, expert tools, and related services (the “Service”).
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, our Cookie Policy, and our SMS & A2P Messaging Terms.
1. Acceptance
By using the Service, you agree to this legally binding Agreement.
2. Eligibility
You must be 18 years or older (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction). Parents may create child profiles for users under 13. Children cannot register independently.
3. Subscriptions & Payments
Subscriptions are processed via Stripe. You’ll see exact pricing at checkout.
- Refunds: 30-day money-back guarantee on first-time purchases.
- Cancellations: Cancel any time to prevent future charges. Access continues until the end of the billing cycle.
4. SMS Messaging & Consent
If you opt in to receive transactional SMS, LaunchFamily may send you account-related text messages such as:
- Login verification codes
- Family reminders or tasks
- Urgent service notifications
These messages are:
- Sent only if you manually check an opt-in box (never pre-checked)
- Not shared or sold to any third party, including originator opt-in data
You can opt out at any time by replying STOP. For assistance, reply HELP. Message and data rates may apply.
We log timestamp, IP address, and user ID for all opt-ins.

5. User Content & License
You retain ownership of your content but grant us a broad license to use it for:
- operating and improving the Service
- training and enhancing our AI systems
- generating personalized content for your family experience
This license is:
- worldwide
- royalty-free
- perpetual and irrevocable (for AI training)
Expert-uploaded content (e.g., frameworks, PDFs) is still owned by the expert. We only use it to host, display, or train the associated chatbot.
6. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
- Violate laws or third-party rights
- Harass, exploit, or endanger children
- Reverse engineer, scrape, or attempt unauthorized access
- Upload harmful, abusive, or illegal content
- Resell or misuse the Service
Violations may result in immediate termination without refund.
7. Medical & Professional Disclaimer
LaunchFamily provides general parenting and educational support, including AI-generated suggestions. It does not provide:
- medical advice
- mental health or psychological treatment
- legal, financial, or other licensed professional services
Always consult licensed professionals for such matters.
8. Intellectual Property
All LaunchFamily trademarks, software, and designs are our property. You may not copy, reproduce, or modify any part of the Service without our written permission.
9. Feedback & Suggestions
If you send us feedback, ideas, or improvements, you agree we may use them without compensation. You grant LaunchFamily a royalty-free, worldwide license to use, modify, and incorporate them.
10. Third-Party Services
The Service may integrate with third parties (e.g., Google, Stripe, Spoonacular). Your use of those services is governed by their terms. We’re not liable for their performance or content.
11. Modification of Service
We may modify, discontinue, or add features at any time. Where appropriate, we’ll provide reasonable notice. You can cancel your account if you disagree with changes.
12. Beta Features
From time to time, we may release beta or early-access features. These may contain bugs or limitations. Use them at your own discretion.
13. Change-of-Control Transfer
If we’re acquired or merged, this Agreement and user data may be transferred under the prevailing Privacy Policy. You’ll be notified 30 days in advance.
14. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. Sections 4–21 will continue to apply even after termination.
15. Arbitration & Class Action Waiver
- Informal Process First: Contact support@launchfamily.com before starting a formal claim.
- Arbitration: Disputes will be settled by JAMS in Los Angeles County, CA under its Streamlined Rules.
- Fees: Each party pays their own costs, up to $500 per party, unless the arbitrator decides otherwise.
- No Class Actions: You may only resolve disputes individually. No collective or representative claims.
16. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided \”as is.\” We disclaim all warranties. We’re not liable for indirect or consequential damages. Our total liability is capped at $100 or the amount paid in the last 12 months.
17. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold LaunchFamily harmless from any claims arising from:
- your misuse of the Service
- your violation of these Terms
- your violation of any third-party rights
18. Entire Agreement & Severability
These Terms, our Privacy Policy, and any other posted legal notices form the entire agreement. If any part is unenforceable, the rest still applies.
19. Copyright & DMCA
If you believe content on our platform infringes your copyright, send a notice to legal@launchfamily.com with:
- Your signature (electronic or physical)
- Description of the copyrighted work
- URL or details of the infringing content
- Your contact info
- A good-faith statement that you own the copyright or are authorized to act on the owner’s behalf
20. Notices
You agree to receive all legal notices electronically at the email linked to your account. We’ll also post them in-app or at https://launchfamily.com/legal.
